BSTAR2006 Grid: Optical Spectra

For each model atmosphere, we have calculated with Synspec a detailed spectrum in the optical range, from 320 nm to 1 micron. Two files are available for each model atmosphere: the detailed spectrum (*.vis.7) and the continuum spectrum (*.vis.17). With program ROTIN, spectra can readily be convolved with instrumental and rotational profiles, and/or normalized.

Each file in the tar archives (two files for each model atmosphere) is a two-column ASCII file:

- Wavelength [A]

- Eddington Flux Hl at the stellar surface [erg s-1 cm-2 A-1]

The spectra are available for 5 scaled-solar chemical compositions and 2 microturbulent velocities:

 Z / Zo   File (Vt = 2 km/s)   Z / Zo   File (Vt = 10 km/s)
2   BCvispec_v2.tar  (345 MB)   2   BCvispec_v10.tar  (204 MB)
1   BGvispec_v2.tar  (342 MB)   1   BGvispec_v10.tar  (204 MB)
1 / 2   BLvispec_v2.tar  (340 MB)   1 / 2   BLvispec_v10.tar  (209 MB)
1 / 2   BSvispec_v2.tar  (340 MB)   1 / 2   BSvispec_v10.tar  (216 MB)
1 / 10   BTvispec_v2.tar  (339 MB)   1 / 10   BTvispec_v10.tar  (211 MB)

Detailed Ultraviolet Spectra (90-320 nm) are also available.
